Just the beginning.......

You don't write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say. -F Scott Fitzgerald

The weather outside is terribly cold. Is this how you start the first blog? Talking about the weather? I don't really know what to say to be honest. You write because you have something you want to say, not because you want something to say. I often am curious if anyone even finds this life of mine very interesting. This life I have come to know has recently been whipped around, turned upside and each day is a new roller coaster.

I will explain more about what has changed in the future. :-)

I am quitting my job in three days. I am excited to be done with a corporation who cuts hours because they think they do not make enough money to support their employees but has the means to buy a liquior license that could have paid all their employees for several months. I am a deep believer in compassion before corporation and this is why I can never be a business major.

I am currently enrolled at the University of Wyoming. I am workign towards my teaching certificate. I will be teaching 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade. Children are my passion. I feel that children are not treated fairly at times and I want to make a difference in their life at a young age.

I do have a bachelor's degree though. From good ole Chadron State College. Yep, Danny Woodhead did go to school with me. In fact, he sat right behind me at graduation. Nope, never even said a word to him though. Haha Guess the joke is on me right.
Going back to my degree. It's in criminal justice with an emphasis in juvenile justice. I wanted to be a youth probation officer. Then I wanted to be a lawyer. Now I want to be a teacher. Someday hopefully a children's librarian.

I am married to Andrew. He is like a big kid at times. He drinks all the milk and does not replace it. Expects me to still wake him up for class. Throws giant fits when he does not get his way and pretty much treats me like I am his mother at times. Don't get me wrong. I love him to death. We are just waiting for him to hit his growing in maturity spurt and then he will really succeed in life. (I hope!)

When I say we, I mean McCoy and Me. McCoy is my cat. He is funny and energetic. He loves to tell me stories about his life. When I walk in the door, he runs to meet me. Meowing about his day. He will stretch and then run my leg until I pet him on the head.

Okay. This is the life I have been given. I will post more later about what it is like in a day of my life.
